Eligibility Requirements To pursue the PMI-RMP® certification, candidates must meet specific combinations of educational qualifications, professional experience, and formal risk management training. These are categorized into three sets: High School Diploma or Equivalent: Minimum of 36 months (3 years) of project risk management experience within the last 5 years Completion of 40 contact hours of formal project risk management education SBachelor’s Degree or Higher (or Global Equivalent): Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of project risk management experience within the last 5 years Completion of 30 contact hours of project risk management education Bachelor’s Degree or Higher from a PMI Global Accreditation Center (GAC) Accredited Program: Minimum of 12 months (1 year) of project risk management experience within the last 5 years Completion of 30 contact hours of project risk management education Exam Details The PMI-RMP® exam is designed to evaluate the candidate’s ability to apply risk management knowledge, tools, and techniques across all phases of a project lifecycle: Exam Format: 115 multiple-choice questions Duration: 150 minutes Languages: English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified)
